Testimony of the Gospel

“Young friends, we live in perilous times, and the decisions which you are called upon to make on a daily, or even hourly, basis have eternal consequences. The decisions you make in your daily life will determine what happens to you later. If you do not yet have a firmly rooted testimony and conviction that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the kingdom of God on the earth, now is the time to do what it takes to gain that conviction.”

Bonnie L. Oscarson, Young Women General President
Be Ye Converted,” October 2013 General Conference

“Daily scripture study—especially reading the Book of Mormon—establishes a firm foundation for your developing testimony of Jesus Christ and His gospel. It invites the Spirit into your life.”

Ann M. Dibb, Second Counselor, Young Women General Presidency
Be of a Good Courage,” April 2010 General Conference

“A woman with a mother heart has a testimony of the restored gospel, and she teaches the principles of the gospel without equivocation. She is keeping sacred covenants made in holy temples. Her talents and skills are shared unselfishly. She gains as much education as her circumstances will allow, improving her mind and spirit with the desire to teach what she learns to the generations who follow her.”

Julie B. Beck, First Counselor, Young Women General Presidency
A Mother Heart,” April 2004 General Conference

“Each of us can share the good news of the gospel and give words to our convictions. If we are sensitive to the whisperings of the Spirit, we can find opportunities to humbly express our beliefs…

“When we bear record of the good news of the gospel, our spoken testimony invites the Holy Ghost to bear His witness of the truth of the message. It is not our words that carry the power but rather the Spirit of God that accompanies our words and confirms them in the hearts of the listeners.”

Susan L. Warner, Second Counselor, Primary General Presidency
Bear Record of Him,” October 1998 General Conference
